Fighting Fire with Fire or

The Monsters of Monsters

To put it simply, I write what I feel. It's known by many that Anthony Burgess wrote A Clockwork Orange because what he described were things he wanted to do but never dared to do them. So rather than suffer the consequences of the crimes, he wrote down his fantasies and created a legendary tale.

While I'm often considered a bit right-wing and even psychopathic because I believe those who prey on humanity should be hunted like the monsters they are, I'm not apologizing one bit for my point of view. The Nigerian girls who were kidnapped and forced into horrible nightmares should be sought for rescue by all of humanity on this Earth. Those who hurt the innocent, particularly our children, should be treated like horrid creatures from outer space. They should be hunted and neutralized like the scourge they are.

But that isn't how it works out, is it? Slavery is more prolific today than ever before simply because humanity refuses to take serious action. We would prefer to draw red X's on our hands with a red Sharpie and wear dog tags stating our quaint opinions. What if it were the daughters of the President taken and forced into prostitution? Would sufficient action be taken then? One can imagine so. So, why do we stop there?

At Quotev, I have created a serial telling a story of people who are not considered acceptable in mainstream society but yet have a serious place. A small group of outcasts and psychos have banded together to battle what they know is humanity's greatest scourge, which is slavery under the guise of Human Trafficking and forced prostitution.

But, I am doing this tale in a very unique way. Once upon a time, I read on some motivational blurb a line that stated, If you write one page a day for an entire year, you will have written a book! While I do not believe this is the best way to do things and I don't think that book will be all it can without extensive rewriting and in-depth planning, plot sequencing and character structuring, I decided to take the statement as a challenge. I have created this story a page at a time (perhaps 250 to 500 words daily) and publishing what I'm creating without rewrites or behind-the-scenes outlining or planning. I am making it up as I go without planning or having any idea of what is going to happen next until it comes to me. Further, I am writing the entire thing on a Kindle Fire with a Targus Stylus rather than computer and traditional keyboard.

When you get to the latest chapter, wondering what will happen next, your guess is about as good as mine was. I was literally just winging this thing, having no clue where we're going from one day to the next. I began this little adventure 12/31/13 and continued until the turn of the year to 2015. Whatever happened is what happens and how this thing was going to turn out was a mystery to everyone, especially me.

The one thing I know is that I have a team of people who would not be allowed at your children's birthday party but are doing their best to protect all the guests there. However, there are a lot of people in the world who want these vigilantes stopped, because the Law cannot just alllow people to run around and do these things and get away with it. I mean, hey, a few of these people on the team are not exactly wired correctly.

So, for those of you who are adventurous readers, come on in and join us on this quest to see how this thing turns out.

Oh, now that this experiment is complete, you can find it on Quotev and enjoy it there, but I have also created a novel version of the entire story, now available at Smashwords. Check it out.
